Dear reader,
It is with great pleasure that we announce the start of another year of events at the Carmelite Priory in Mdina. The Priory is committed to continue providing a safe environment wherein one could explore one’s faith in deeper waters. In silent prayer, in adoration, in meditating on the Sacred Scriptures, in seminars, and more such like events, we strive to offer the opportunity to form oneself in the Christian faith, not alone, but in community, being this one of the most important pillars of Carmelite identity and spirituality.
This year, we are joining in one newsletter the events of both the Priory and the Institute, so that one can easily appreciate the far reaches of the events that we shall be organizing, from the deeply personal, sharing, and meditative moments in prayer, to the more reflective, intellectual, seeking, questioning, and deep understanding of our faith in seminars and reading groups.
After having explored last year several spiritual experiences of concrete human faces and persons, having also ventured beyond the Carmelite spiritual experience into the more general Christian spiritual identity, this year the seminars being organized by the Institute will be dwelling more on thematic areas that we, as spiritual beings, are facing today. Hopefully, this thematic approach will help us not only understand but also give appropriate answers to the questions contemporary society raises. Also, being the Covid-19 pandemic generally not a health risk anymore, the seminars will be held onsite at the Carmelite Priory in Mdina. The option for online participation can be given upon special request too. It is preferable, however, for discussion purposes and for a fuller immersion into the subject at hand, that one is physically present with the group. Registration for each seminar is obligatory for organization purposes. Contact details are given below. Finally, a donation for one’s participation in the Institute’s seminars is highly appreciated.
